Guy Flannery, Chief Operating Officer - Unified Smiles

Prior to joining Unified Smiles, Flannery served as the CFO at Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC), a dental practice management company with more than 225 owned dental offices spanning seven states in the Midwest, South, and Northeast. In this role, he oversaw finance, treasury management, legal and regulatory compliance, procurement, acquisitions, real estate, revenue cycle management, and vendor relationships. GEDC was purchased by a private equity firm in 2011. Preceding his role at GEDC, Flannery served as CFO at MIDA Dental Plans (MIDA), a leading privately held provider of managed dental care in the U.S., offering high-quality general and specialty services to individuals, businesses, and unions within a managed care framework. MIDA was recognized as the largest managed dental care provider in the U.S. and was acquired by United Concordia in 1996. Before MIDA, Flannery worked as a senior audit and financial consulting manager at Arthur Andersen & Co., specializing in managed medical care, dental services, prescription drugs, podiatry, and optical services. He was involved in multiple initial public offerings and ongoing private transactions. Flannery graduated with distinction with a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He is a certified public accountant in Michigan and a chartered global management accountant. He is an active member of the AICPA, MACPA, and the Financial Executives International and previously served as vice president and board member of the Southeastern Michigan Venture Group.   Flannery graduated with distinction with a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He is a certified public accountant in Michigan and a chartered global management accountant. He is an active member of the AICPA, MACPA, and the Financial Executives International and previously served as vice president and board member of the Southeastern Michigan Venture Group. .
